On October 20, 2024, Assisi Special School Vellayamkudy organized a comprehensive medical camp dedicated to addressing the unique health needs of children with special abilities. The camp was designed to ensure that students receive the best possible care, focusing on their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. A team of specialized doctors, therapists, and healthcare professionals provided free medical check-ups, personalized consultations, and health guidance tailored to each child’s condition.

The camp covered a wide range of services including:

• General health check-ups to monitor physical well-being.
• Therapy sessions (including speech, occupational, and physical therapy) to assess and improve motor and communication skills.
• Nutritional advice to promote healthy eating habits, with a focus on diet plans tailored to the needs of children with disabilities.
• Vision and hearing screenings to identify any sensory impairments.
• Counseling sessions for parents and caregivers, offering guidance on managing the health and development of children with special needs.

Over 80 children participated in the camp, benefiting from the holistic approach aimed at enhancing their overall quality of life. Parents expressed gratitude for the expertise and care provided, and many found the camp to be a valuable resource for managing their children's specific health requirements.
